A Tale of Two Cities... Mainly Paris 4

Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa, Men have named you. Will you look at that crowd all eager to see the woman herself, I can't believe how many people were attempting selfies with the Mona Lisa.. I am pretty sure they all came out terrible. I remember looking at the Mona Lisa when I was 9, she looked a lot larger to a smaller person but there is no doubting her charm.

The Louvre was a fantastic way to spend a few Parisian hours, especially when followed up with a walk around the Sacre Coeur. I don't think you have really seen Paris until you have seen it from over 300 stairs up...

The hustle and bustle of people craning to see the painters creating their works of art sue up Paris for me, we decided to grab a cider and spend the rest of the afternoon before catching the Eurostar home people watching.

A Tale of Two Cities... Mainly Paris 3

Me and Allan are not the easiest people to shake out of sleep when morning arrives, but when your in Paris sleeping feels like cheating. On our third day we decided to go and visit Marie Antoinette's house - The Palace of Versailles, which was a short train journey out of the center.

We thought we would spend a couple of hours and be on our way to discover the rest of Paris, but bloody hell - that place is massive. We went for a wander around the countless beautiful gardens before heading inside to explore the inside. It was surreal to this that Marie Antoinette once swished around there in all hers wigs and dresses, eating macaroons like the perfect delights they are.

Overall it was a perfect day, we ended the day with a moonlight boat tour - but more on that later...

What do you do on a rainy, moody day in Paris? - the only answer is to go and pay a visit to Jim Morrison. Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise in the rain was the perfect way to see it. With my horrendous grasp on general directions, Allan took the map and directed us to say hello to Jim and Wilde. Walking around a cemetery builds up a surprisingly large appetite, so we made our way over to La Marais to feast on the most delicious food we could find and people watch.

After lunch, we made our way to the nearest bakery to stock up on macaroons, it would have seemed almost rude not to..

The rain didn't let up all day but Woody Allen is right - Paris is beautiful in the rain. We spent the rest of the day just wandering around Paris, taking in the little book stalls and the love pad locks before finding a cocktail bar on a boat to take advantage of the disgustingly good views.

PARIS!

I was at least half my height when I was last on Parisian soil, the extra growth has only added to my excitement for Paris. Firstly - having the option of jumping on a tube, arriving only 30 minutes before and sitting with croissants on a train is much more appealing than hanging around for 2 hours in an airport, before being thrust into the sky.

We were in our hotel oogling the Eiffel Tower from our hotel window before it hit me that we were in Paris, we decided to swing past the old girl before heading to eat and take in the wonder that is Paris. Obviously the floods of chic, well put together people pushes you to (attempt to...) do the same with my sunglasses, floaty dress and a posh bag swinging from my arm.

Our first day in Paris needed cementing some way so fate dealt us a brilliant yet expensive hand by directing us (accidently) into the most expensive bar in Paris... although we made up for it by discovering a happy hour bar straight after, cocktails ensued before a late night stroll back home along the Seine. Paris I love you x

All The Pinks.

This was the day when I actually wasn't going anywhere that interesting, I just wanted to wear my new 'old' clothes and dress up a little - why not? Why should nicer clothes be pushed to the back of the wardrobe for special occasions? If I happened to be a fancy jacket or a particularly sparkly dress I would feel very left out of I only got to see the light of day once a year for an hour or two.

I emerged from the house looking like I was about to be whisked off somewhere fancy - the wind was blowing at the right speed to make me look like I was in slow motion, the sparkly glasses were firmly on, I was tapping on my phone (looking important), I was adorned with my most ladylike bag and I went to the post office...

YouTube is a thing I am doing now, well I have made one so I'm not sure if that counts. If you fancy having a look then that is definitely something you should do.
I managed to take a super small video of my outfit aswell just because the dress looks so much prettier with a bit of movement ^^^

What's in my Bag?

I thought I would do a bit more of a refined 'what's in my bag?' blog post to go alongside my YouTube video for those of you who prefer blogging time to YouTube time. The bag I am currently using (for nicer activities) is my most ladylike Louis Vuitton present, for everything else I just shove it all into my now decrepit Zara pleather tote.
