The Wondrous World of Tinder
Tuesday, 29 December 2015
After being in a relationship for almost ten years, dating was a completely foreign concept...
...Enter, Tinder.
To me, Tinder seemed to be the easiest way to dip my toe into the dating pool, see how it felt, see if anything 'bit' or if I would drown... I am still around to tell the ever so entertaining tale. I thought I could tell this tale best via the medium of video. I have thrown in a few stories, a lot of realisations and the tips to live by on Tinder.
I have actually found Tinder fun. After being in a relationship since birth, I am quite rightly not heading out into the wondrous world of dating looking for (to quote someone who seems to know the business) 'mr right, but instead, mr right now'. After a big break up, I've discovered that you need to get to know yourself again on your own before sharing yourself again.
Anyway, enough waffling and sentiment, there is a fun video to feast on.... Ashley's YouTube Place

What Happens When you Break up?
Everyone has experienced a break up at some point in life and everyone knows that they are just a bit shit...
I have uploaded a video on my YouTube channel discussing what happens when you break up and ways to make the process a little less dire :).

Things That Have Made Me Smile

Things that have made me smile
1. Popping open my top bottom on my jeans, and letting it all hang out after eating the tastiest Lebanese food at Comptoir Libanais.
2. Gaining 9 followers on my YouTube channel - there are now 31 people who can stand to hear me talk....
3. Watching utter rubbish on Netflix whilst drinking peppermint tea in my house coat at 1am.
4. The new Drums album - Encyclopedia.
5. Listening to my guilty playlist when work is BUSY.
6. Finding the black mules I wanted desperately sat on the shelf on there own in my size in Primark.
7. Facetiming Allan about utter rubbish.
8. Succumbing to a bagel breakfast. The best days follow a bagel breakfast.
9. Tyler Oakley's 'Psycho Babble' Podcasts. The gossip necessary for a weekday.
10. Watching 'Cilla' and drooling over the ridiculously cool Sixties clothes.
11. Going home to Manchester.

DIY Iced Coffee
Summer arrives and along with the sun comes my 'iced coffee' cravings. As you can imagine, this can be quite a spendy habit - forcing me to find a cheaper and tastier alternative.
Watch, create and drink your body weight in cold coffee.
Tips:
- Don't use hot water.. a rather obvious one but you know...
- Make coffee iced cubes to avoid that slightly watery coffee aftermath
- Use pretentious jam jars to like the best, quirkiest coffee sipper
I may have gone a little wild with the DIY, crafty sessions recently - if you are looking for some weekend inspiration, click and you can see the rest of my videos on my channel. Please watch, like and subscribe if the mood takes you.

Missguided Unravelled
I love shopping, I love shopping online and receiving exciting parcels through the post....
I tend to stick to the online shops I have used before, shops that I know, which is why I decided to start a series on my YouTube channel discovering and unravelling new online shops - reviewing along the way.
First up Missguided.
Missguided is a website where I can lose a good length of time browsing, so I was excited to receive my parcel through the post. I don't know If I ordered items or the wrong fabrics but I wasn't massively impressed, as you will see.... I have placed some images below - me in the clothes, next to Missguideds model in the clothes, no difference at all...
I may have to give it another chance at some point, but for now - onto the next new shop! Let me know if you have anywhere that you think needs investigating!

The Key Three - Vintage, Design & Cake
Friday, 6 June 2014
The Key Three - Vintage, Design & Cake
Going back to Manchester for the weekend always means three things - shopping, gossiping, food... I managed to fit the key three into a Sunday, the day of rest.
I wanted to visit the new 'Nadinoo' store that has recently opened in the Manchester Craft & Design Centre, so I donned my beautiful, lace vintage coat and did exactly that! I managed to photograph (loads...) and film a little in store, which is something you will hopefully see very soon.
Going to a craft centre with home made cakes and not eating one is ridiculous, and I am no fool... we got the biggest slice, an iced coffee and placed ourselves at the most opportune angle to people watch.. After the sugar rush had subsided slightly, we went straight from design into vintage, where we stayed and found ALL the stuff.
Anyway, until next time Manchester... until I hop the train back, where have you found to be the BEST places to shop vintage / second hand? Tell all!

Vintage Finds, May!
London trumps Manchester in some ways but when it comes to shopping, the Northern counterpart wins every time. Manchester is ultimately brilliant for vintage / second hand shopping, as you will see!

Something a little different.
Saturday, 23 June 2012
Something a little different.
After becoming infatuated with a video app on my iPhone I decided to do an outfit post with a twist. I filmed my outfit and trip around the car boot and obviously added some whimsical Yann Tiersen melody to set the mood.
With deadlines looming I always need to have something planned to get me out the house so that the cabin fever doesn't set in. I planned to meet my friend for breakfast on Saturday and we made an impromptu trip to the car boot - picked up a lot of bargains, haggled my arse off and had a lot of fun and banter in the process. There were so many amazing vintage pieces of furniture - it almost makes me sad that I couldn't give any of them a home and a new story... The Tracey Island would look wonderful anywhere in my future house. There are some serious car booters out there who turn up equipped with suitcases to trail home their bargain swag of the day! Madness. There were a lot of 4 for a £1 clothing tables which obviously I dived into head first and came out with a cardigan, dress, blazer and scarf! I also picked up the most beautiful, shiny clutch and brooch :)
Being up early has made me realise that I can do get up early and not be a complete zombie so I may attempt the early rise a little more often to get through my ever growing to-do list for Uni! Although lets face it I may not, I may just stick to waking up late and working late - the healthy work mode.
Hope you like the video - I have a taste for it now so you maybe subjected to many more...
