After seeing lots of beautifully extravagant jewelled shoes, I decided to make my own!

I feel like I am upping my editing game... Please watch, enjoy and get glueing!

My friend Sophie has a perm-bun, she also has birthday once a year - this year she wanted to Brighton Beach it, so that is exactly what we did.

It wasn't cold, I would describe it as mac weather - great job I had just purchased this lovely ol'thing eh? H&M enticed me in to the store with a 25% voucher, I followed suite as expected and picked up this grey mac. I feel fancy and sophisticated, which almost always means I need to 'toddler it up' somehow.

Despite the less than favourable weather, a trip to the beach isn't complete until you have sat on it with a cider. We did what every respectable tourist does in Brighton - looked at overpriced vintage clothes, ate vegetarian food and drank a lot of pints in a lot of pubs.

Cheers to the birthday bun, buns are big amongst the lads if you haven't guessed.

Franks bar has been a summer institution since swooping around Camberwell, carrying sketchbooks and paint and this year was no different.

Summers evening spent drinking cocktails, on top of a car park roof with friends and the whole of the London skyline right in front of your eyes is just perfect. Sadly today is the day I have to say goodbye to Franks until the sun shows its face again (hopefully) next summer... I now need to find some interesting indoor activities to keep me going through the winter months - I hear the mulled wine whispering my name.

This was the day when I actually wasn't going anywhere that interesting, I just wanted to wear my new 'old' clothes and dress up a little - why not? Why should nicer clothes be pushed to the back of the wardrobe for special occasions? If I happened to be a fancy jacket or a particularly sparkly dress I would feel very left out of I only got to see the light of day once a year for an hour or two.

I emerged from the house looking like I was about to be whisked off somewhere fancy - the wind was blowing at the right speed to make me look like I was in slow motion, the sparkly glasses were firmly on, I was tapping on my phone (looking important), I was adorned with my most ladylike bag and I went to the post office...

YouTube is a thing I am doing now, well I have made one so I'm not sure if that counts. If you fancy having a look then that is definitely something you should do.

I managed to take a super small video of my outfit aswell just because the dress looks so much prettier with a bit of movement ^^^

I can't seem to be able to turn down tacky, Hawaiian themed clothing, spending the evening with a bottle of rum and ting or not. I picked up this t-shirt a couple of weeks ago for 50p (!!) in a charity shop and fell for its crazy charms, I threw it on with an 'in your face' necklace and I was good to go. Spring seems to be avoiding Manchester at all costs, so until the sun creeps through the clouds I am going to keep wearing outrageous prints, wearing spring lip colours, eating ice cream and hoping...

Running around a museum after dark is always a great way to spend an evening. The theme for this V&A late night was 'Lolita' - I wish I could have taken more outfits of guests as their outfits were so fun and whimsical. We may have gone slightly mad, but with dark corners to run around and discover what else would have happened?

The sparkly jumper was entirely necessary as it felt like Christmas. Yes I said it.

A rainy day at Hampton Court.

A rainy day at Hampton Court.

With the unreliable British weather plans can be ruined so easily if you let them. Last week we had decided to take a trip to see Hampton Court, get the boat to Kingston for a drink and then have a BBQ at mine - obviously it was raining but we decided to go anyway! Yay (us 1 - weather 0) after all it is only a bit of water. Hampton Court is always such a fun place to walk around with the beautiful gardens and maze! You feel like you are way out of the hustle and bustle of London discovering the hidden charms of Henry VIII life - we decided against going into the palace as we had arrived in the afternoon so wouldn't have had enough time to really explore.... next time. The boat from Hampton to Kingston is always an interesting one with all the ridiculously expensive houses that you sail past on the way - it always helps if there is a promise of a pint of cider at the end. The BBQ was scrapped (as that is one activity that really does need some sun or at least no rain...) for a 3 course meal cooked to perfection by yours truly - we had chorizo in red wine with halloumi to start, peppered steak and veg followed by a vanilla cheesecake and a chocolate fudge cake (2 puddings!!!)

I thought my outfit was rather simple but perhaps I looked slightly mad - I was referred to by three separate people as quirky? There are worse things I suppose :)

It was one of those night where you are just having too much fun chatting, playing on a trampoline (yes I am 25) and drinking red wine to take photos so you will just have to take my word for it that it was a tip top night :)
