Rowdy Ramblers

One sunny, delightful Saturday in July - I went on a ramble and it was rowdy, the 'rowdy rambler' title can live on. A lovely lady has been organising these rather fantastic rambles for years, this was my first, it was splendid.

It was quite an achievement to add to my list making it to Victoria station on time - we were all meeting at 10.30 am, I woke up at 9.30 am, hungover. I arrived lagging behind my pal, iced coffee, headache tablets and a Pret tuna baguette in hand. Hurdle number one had been tackled. We were starting the walk / hike / ramble in Hassocks before making the 11 mile walk to Lewes to travel back.

As you have probably grasped by now, the place / places were beaut. There is something magical about escaping the city for the day, wandering through fields and getting a big hit of fresh air. The meandering paths turned rather frequently into uphill paths, my bum muscles complained the next day, I however, did not. Half way through, we stopped at one of the most wondrous pubs I have ever stumbled across for a refuel with food and cider to help us on our way. The pub had an abundance of charm, local ciders and a bow of free tampons in the ladies (what a bloody nice touch eh?).

So, a run down of the day - hangover, iced coffee, train, fields, sun, merchandised hats, a mirage ice cream van, fields, hikers with walking sticks, cider, fields, greeness, air, sheep, pub lunch, cider, fields, forest, views, fields, road, laughter, 'banter', rowdiness, cider, pub, train, tube, walk, dirty burger, bed.

All in a days work, as they say... If you have any brill suggestions for new rambling destinations, do leave me a comment - I have caught the 'rambling' bug it seems. Speak soon x

Making new friends.

Centre Parcs is great.

The weather was on our side mostly except one extremely wet bike ride (^^^) which actually turned out to be quite invigorating... especially when followed by a crap load of chocolate pancakes.

I am the least athletic person ever (ever seems strong but I am pretty sure I am in the top percentage of shit athletes) so going to a place where athleticism is at the top of the agenda is almost unthinkable but I surprised even myself - I threw myself into bike riding, badminton and fresh air inhaling. We must be natural forest goers and give off a Snow White type of vibe as animals kept gravitating towards our cabin, especially Centre Parcs most intimidating swan characters...

BBQ time in the forest is pretty much the best time, there is something about eating a diet of meat with your hands in the outdoors that makes you feel super human. The sun almost seems to set prettier in the forest with a blanket and a beer in hand.

I have a bit of a catch up post coming to just to fill the internet in on my movements since I was last here.. also guys, BLOGLOVIN

Being at one with nature.

I have been a little bit awol from this little space on the internet - so I thought I would kick things off by blogging the things that have been cast aside for weeks on my desktop.

I recently went on a trip to Centre Parcs (Robin Hood land) with my boyfriend and his family and of course came to the conclusion that some kind of outfit had to be shot prancing around the forest. I grabbed my characteristically un-snap happy, camera wielder and set off to collect some pine cones. I subconsciously wanted to blend in with my surrounding and be at one with nature in various shades of forest.

I seem to be morphing slowly into a victorian child - I can't walk past deep colours, bows or ribbons without my eyes lighting up. I am sure you will see the progression over the coming months, maybe I need a wooden horse to complete the transition.

You can always rely on Centre Parcs locations to charm your socks off, but more on that in the next post. (Next post, I know - I'm planning ahead... for once....)

Also as you may all now Google Friend Connect is packing it's bags and leaving us for good but Bloglovin is already waiting with open arms, here I am - BLOGLOVIN
