House of Illustration
The House of Illustration has opened its doors this summer and I had the opportunity to see the wondrously stylish Chris Brown talk just before the big opening.
Chris Brown was one of my tutors throughout my MA, to see such a man - pattern clashing was the only way forward! The House of Illustration can be found next to Central Saint Martins, which is definitely one of the coolest places to study - you have fountains, grassy stairs, expensive food, cocktails... the complete opposite to your usual student shindig.
Chris Brown is an illustrator, designer, fashion designer, knit wear enthusiast and bright sock wearer. He took us on a journey on how he has made it to where he is now in super stylish fashion. He has done everything from design ties for YSL, designing for editorial magazines to illustrating an A-Z of London.
The House of Illustration is going to be a pretty exciting place and has opened spectacularly with the 'Inside Stories' exhibit by Quentin Blake, which is the next exhibit on my list for my eyes to devour.

Looks like a fun day out! Must be so great to have a tutor so inspirational! Also, great jumper!

Thanks - it was part of a co-ord set from H&M! It was ace being on a course where the tutors had experienced everything you were aiming for! x
